Weekly Newsletter

Weekly Newsletter
3 Year Olds

Dear Parents,

We hope everyone had a good Rosh Hashanah. We were excited to hear from some of the friends that they went to Shul and heard the Shofar! They shared with us how the shofar sounded.

This week we talked all about friends and sharing with them. We also spoke about listening to our parents and doing the good things that Hashem wants us to do like being kind and saying nice things to each other. We made a classroom Yom Kippur Book to look at and listen to Morah read to us. On Yom Kippur we learned that Mommy's and Daddy's do not eat and this may be hard for them so we have to try very hard to make them happy.

We read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, a book all about the alphabet and painted a very large Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree. We put ABC stickers all over it and even recognized many of the letters and some of the letters in our names. We also read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom 123 and painted our very own small tree and covered it with numbers for each of us to take home. Other books we enjoyed this week were Little Alphabet, Let's Share, I Can Do a Mitzvah, My Shabbos 1,2,3's and Dr. Suess ABC.

The friends have been enjoying tracing shapes with crayons and coloring the shapes in along with water colors, markers, dot paints and our favorite play dough. This week we played with our new Thomas the Train Lego set. All of our wooden blocks making very large towers and buildings.

Friday's Shabbat sing a long and Challah baking were lots of fun! We are learning a new Shabbat song all about making Shabbat chicken soup and pretending to eat it. We all take turns putting our favorite ingredients into the pot and stirring it up until it is nice and hot.

Shabbat Chicken Soup
Put some chicken in a pot, stir it up until it’s nice and hot, get it ready for Shabbat, for Shabbat…    Put some ________in a pot, stir it up until it’s nice and hot, get it ready for Shabbat, for Shabbat…(We add all the ingredients one by one.)

Shabbat Shalom, Morah Chaya and Morah Jen
